With the T-posts in a true circle, the next step is installing the anchors. The 10 two-piece ground anchors give the straps an outside attachment point and keep the posts from leaning when the trap is tightened.

What You Need for This Step
10 Two-Piece Ground Anchors
Included in the kit. The top screws off so an impact driver can be used in most ground conditions.
10 Cinch Straps
Unwind and connect each strap from its outer anchor to its T-post. Leave the straps loose for now.
Impact Driver
Recommended for driving the provided two-piece anchors quickly and consistently.
Hammer or Post Driver
Use these if you need extra help seating an anchor in hard or uneven ground.
Place Each Anchor Outside Its Post
Set each anchor about 5 feet outside its matching T-post. You do not need a measuring tape. Keep the distance consistent around the circle.
Line Up Across the Circle
The most important part of this step is alignment. Line each anchor with the post directly across the trap. If an anchor is tied to the wrong post, the posts will lean when the straps are tightened.
Drive the Anchors and Stage the Straps
Drive each two-piece anchor securely, but do not bury the top. After all 10 anchors are in, unwind the straps, connect each one from anchor to post with the buckle near the post, and leave them loose.
Setup Tip: Do not tighten the straps yet. Tightening comes after the net is hung. Anchors driven too deep are hard to recover and can disappear in soft ground.
Why Anchor Alignment Matters
Misaligned anchors pull the circle out of shape. When the net and straps come under hog pressure later, a true circle holds better and is easier to convert from training mode to trap mode.
Once the anchors and loose straps are in place, you are ready for net deployment and cap setup.
